THE BIG ATHLONE DAY OUT

What a super day last week in Athlone! We all had great fun in Derryglad Folk Museum as we got to see for ourselves what school was like years ago. The sun shone high in the sky as we sailed down the River Shannon in our Viking ship. The captain even let us helm the wheel as we all sang Happy Birthday to Isobel, who was a decade old on the day! :) We let loose afterwards in Athlone Leisure World as we played Laserquest, with the adults being number one targets! Afterwards, we all enjoyed a lovely lunch in the sun and we even had time for a quick game of soccer on the astroturf before we headed for home on the motorway! A big thank you to Maria, Helen and Mrs Magnier for joining in on the fun with us, that day.
