And wave them side to side
Show the world where you're from
Show the world, WE ARE ONE!
Finally, IT'S HERE! The FIFA World Cup 2014 has kicked off today in Brazil and we sure got into the spirit of things today in school!
Ireland didn't qualify to play this time but not to worry as we had our own team draw in class, so we are each supporting one of the 32 countries playing in the World Cup. We have been working really hard researching our country and today we displayed our projects with pride, along with our jerseys.
John, our FAI coach, spent the day in our school, so we got to play a game of soccer ourselves, in the glorious sunshine. It was like we were in Rio!
(We can dream, can't we?!)
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful parents for baking goodies and tasty treats for us today. We were stuffed heading home to get ready to watch the opening ceremony on tv.
Olé! Olé! Olé! Olé!
