AZTEC DAY!!!

On the 3rd of June, 2016,we had an Aztec Day because we were learning about the Aztecs in history. There was around 13 foods there and about 15 stations. The most popular station was the chocolate station! We made tacos, salsa, guacamole, tortillas, nachos, chocolate, fajitas, peppers, chilies, tomatoes, chili con carne and salad.
Fajitas are  flour or corn tortillas filled with any grilled meat with onions and peppers. Nachos are a very famous Mexican food that have many different flavours. Guacamole is made from avocado. The Aztecs came up with the word avocado. Salsa is made from tomatoes, onions, chilies, beans, corn and spices.
An Enchilada is a tortilla rolled around a filling. Chocolate is a drink made from cocoa beans. The thick Mexican chili peppers are spicy and are used for stewed dishes. Tacos can be corn or wheat tortillas folded or rolled around a filling.
