Choose a topic from the examples on Seesaw or pick your own topic. Write a first draft using the template on p.14 of the booklet to help you.

Look up the highlighted words; glide, magnificent. In your English copy, write the definition and write a sentence for each one.

Paragraphs
When writing your final draft of the persuasive text, organise your writing into paragraphs so it is easy to read:
Paragraph 1: Introduction (to introduce your topic)
Paragraph 2: First argument with at least 2 reasons
Paragraph 3: Second argument with at least 2 reasons
Paragraph 4: Final argument with at least 2 reasons
Paragraph 5: A conclusion (to repeat what you think)
Features
❖ You always write in the present tense (use verbs like; is, are, do, make, believe, think)
❖ Your persuasive text should include:
- Facts! (Always use facts to give proof to your argument)
- An interesting topic
- Short, simple sentences
- Use words/phrases that are convincing
