Mrs Magnier surprised 3rd & 4th class yesterday with the news that she had a fun day of baking planned for us as a thank you for being the 'Garden Group' this year. We were responsible all year for taking care of our hens and for maintaining the lovely garden to the back of our school and this was our reward.
In the morning, we went out to our garden to pick some of our tasty rhubarb. We came back into our school kitchen, washed it, cut it up, stewed it and made some gorgeous golden crumble to put on top of it in the oven.
We also made a light, fluffy and tasty sponge mix using the eggs from our hens and we used this to make another delicious dessert. We are so lucky to have a fabulous thriving school garden full of life and full of tasty treats!
Mrs Magnier even brought in some ice cream to have with it!
TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY!
Thank you Mrs Magnier and well done us for a great year's work in the garden!
