We have really enjoyed spending time preparing for Proclamation Day and we were so excited when the day finally arrived...PLUS...IT WAS SUNNY!
Our class researched the history of our tricolour flag and we proudly recited it on the day. We also shared the guidelines for caring for our flag, with everyone.
Other classes acted out scenes from Easter week 1916, showed their 1916 art, recited poems and sang songs. It was a proud day for every single one of us.
We were bursting with pride when our own school tricolour was raised at 12pm after the proclamation was read by our very own Padraig Pearse!
