Yoga Week 1

On Wednesday this week, we began week 1 of our new yoga programme.

Each week, we are going to learn a different set of poses. 
Ms Giblin explained all about the benefits of yoga and how it can help us in our lives. 
It's good for sportspeople and athletes as practicing the poses can prevent injuries. 
It helps us to stay fit & healthy. It helps us to concentrate better in school, to destress after a busy day and it's super for calming the mind and relaxing! 

Ms Giblin burns nice smelling oils and we play relaxing music during our yoga lesson. 

At the end, we do a body scan to relax each part of our body and clear our minds, after a busy day. WE LOVE THIS PART!

We also do visualizations and positive affirmations every day at 12 o'clock, to take a break from working hard. 

There are so many poses you can learn. They can be animal, nature or object poses. We each have our own yoga sheet with pictures of our poses on it and we can use this at home to help us remember what to do.
