3rd Class Week 4 Work Plan

 

3rd Class                  Week 4: February 1st – February 5th   

Hi everyone!

Well done again on another fantastic week of work this week! You all are working so hard and putting in a tremendous effort, so keep it up!

Here is the plan of work for Week 4 (starting next Monday).

Please label all your work clearly when completing an activity in your copies – name of activity/ page number/ date.

Blue highlight = there will be a video on Seesaw to watch before you begin your work.

Yellow highlight tells you the work you need to upload to Seesaw and on which day.

Fun Friday Idea:

Design and create your own musical instrument!

Using items you can find around the house, can you create your own musical instrument? Watch the video for some ideas. You don’t have to use any of these, be as creative as you like 😊

SPHE:

This week, we are going to start a new challenge – A 30 Day Positivity Challenge. Each day, you will have one activity to complete. You can colour the box or tick it off as you complete it.

Look at Seesaw for details of the challenge.

 

Complete the ‘Weekly Journal’ this week that is on Seesaw.

You can upload your completed journal to Seesaw on Friday if you like.

 


STEM: Choose at least one of these activities to try out.

 

1.   How do I compare to an Olympian?

Try the challenges in the activity below. (It is also on Seesaw for you to have a look at!).



   2. Design and build your dream garden!

          Using LEGO, design and build your dream garden.

          First, draw a picture and label the different features you would include in your      
          dream garden. Using LEGO, try to build what you designed.

Some ideas to include:
-      What 2D shapes can you include in your garden?
-      Design a pattern for your flower beds.
-      Build a shed in the garden.
-      Is there a patio or a wooden deck?
-      Is there a water fountain? A swimming pool?
-      Have you a vegetable patch?
-      Did you include a swing set? A rebounder? A basketball hoop? Soccer goals?

Movement Break: Take lots of movement breaks while completing your work. Try the activity ‘Spell Your Name’ on Seesaw!
